New Grad RN Resident - Stepdown Unit

About This Role

The New Grad RN Resident position at Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital is designed for recent nursing graduates seeking to develop their skills in a supportive environment. This role focuses on delivering exceptional care in the Stepdown Unit, which caters to patients transitioning from critical care.

• Pay: $35.50 - $55.60/hour
• Location: Avon, OH
• Facility: Avon Hospital
• Department/Unit: Stepdown Unit
• Schedule: Full-time, Night shift

• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate action.
• Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when needed.
• Document in patients’ medical records.
• Float to ICU and Med/Surg units.

Education:

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program) required.
• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Experience:

• New grad or less than one year RN work experience required.
• Less than one year current acute direct patient care RN experience if moving from non-inpatient to acute setting.

Licenses &

Certifications:

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required if in a Critical Care area.
