The New Grad RN Resident in the Emergency Department at Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital provides comprehensive emergency care while assisting fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional patient experiences. • Pay: $35.50 - $55.60/hour
• Location: Avon, OH
• Facility: Avon Hospital
• Department/Unit: Emergency Department
• Schedule: Full-time, Night shift

• Participate in a residency core curriculum based on individual learning needs.
• Provide direct nursing care alongside a success coach.
• Establish and/or revise priorities for patient care.
• Respond to data indicating risk to patients’ health and initiate corrective actions.
• Seek supervision, consultation, and assistance when unable to perform safely and independently.
• Document in patients’ medical records.

• Education:
  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program) required
  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Experience:
  • New grad or less than one year RN work experience required
  • Experience moving from non-inpatient to acute direct care clinical inpatient setting with less than one-year current acute direct patient care RN experience preferred

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • ACLS and PALS certification required upon hire or within one year
