About This Role
The PRN RN Surgery - OR position at Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital involves providing nursing care in an operative setting for patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures. This role is ideal for RNs looking for a flexible per-diem opportunity that allows them to scrub and circulate within the OR.
Highlights- Pay: $43.00/hour
- Location: Avon, OH
- Facility: Avon Hospital
- Department/Unit: OR
- Schedule: Per Diem, Day shift
- Provide nursing care in an operative setting to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
- Perform scrub functions including the selection and handling of instruments and supplies used during procedures.
- Perform circulating functions including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition.
- Manage overall nursing care of patients before, during, and after procedures.
- Prepare the OR, surgical instruments, and equipment for use.
Education:
- Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
- Internal applicants: 1 year of recent related clinical experience
- External applicants: 2 years of recent related clinical experience
Certifications:
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within six months of hire preferred
