Quality Inspector – Manufacturing | 1st Shift

Pay: $17 - 21
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Hire Sync is hiring a Quality Inspector for a well-established precision manufacturing company in Avon, OH. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands‑on manufacturing inspection experience who is confident using precision measuring equipment and takes pride in accuracy, quality, and attention to detail.
This position supports quality throughout the manufacturing process, including incoming materials, in-process production, and final inspection. The ideal candidate has at least one year of manufacturing experience, can read blueprints, understands basic shop math, and is comfortable performing detailed dimensional inspections.
What You’ll Do- Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections of manufactured parts and materials
- Inspect products for compliance with drawings, specifications, customer requirements, and established quality standards
- Perform detailed dimensional inspections using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, thread gauges, linear scales, and other measuring equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, inspection plans, and quality documentation
- Accurately record inspection results and maintain required quality records
- Identify, document, and communicate non-conforming materials or products
- Support non-conforming material processes, including part tagging, line checks, stock purges, and disposition activities
- Work closely with production, quality, and manufacturing teams to address quality concerns
- Enter inspection and quality-related information into internal tracking systems
- Support testing and additional Quality Control activities as needed
- Follow established Quality Management System procedures and applicable AS9100 requirements
- Perform additional quality-related duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Previous quality inspection or aerospace manufacturing experience strongly preferred
- Hands‑on experience using calipers is required
- Working knowledge of micrometers, scales, and other precision measuring equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Strong basic math skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify dimensional or quality issues
- Ability to accurately document inspection results and maintain organized records
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong problem-solving, organization, and time‑management skills
- Ability to effectively read, write, and communicate in English
- Previous receiving, source, roving/in-process, or final inspection training
- ASQ certification is a plus
- Internal Auditor certification is a plus
- Familiarity with AS9100 or aerospace quality standards is a plus
- Ability to successfully complete required annual vision testing
- Ability to complete periodic competency assessments
