Job Summary

Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) is hiring a Chemistry One-Year-Only (OYO) faculty member to join our dedicated and engaged faculty team for the  academic year. This position will teach college-level chemistry courses for both majors and non-majors and participate in instructional, assessment, and professional development activities.
Additional Information

Please note that per the Affordable Care Act (ACA), once the short-term assignment ends, the incumbent will not be eligible to work in a part-time or Adjunct position within MCCCD for 26 weeks.
Essential Functions

• Teaches a minimum of 30 load-hours per academic year and maintains office hours each week to assist and mentor students.
• Incorporates multiple methods of instruction in a classroom and lab setting.
• Utilizes a variety of assessment strategies in and out of the classroom.
• Develops written syllabi and course/lab materials, evaluates student knowledge of subject matter taught and maintains course grades, prepares and grades exams and other assignments.
