This position provides occupational therapy services to a pediatric population, neonate to adolescent, including evaluation and treatment in independent living, sensory‑motor integration, cognitive and psychosocial skill.
Position Duties- Evaluate and treat patients with occupational performance disorders/delays, demonstrating knowledge of normal development and providing age‑appropriate services in self‑care and play skills involving motor, sensory‑integrative, cognitive, and psychosocial functions; provide care as outlined in the standards of care section of the Policies & Procedures Manual; use pediatric behavior‑management strategies and match interventions to age and disability.
- Build and maintain rapport within the department, hospital, and community; professionally interact with physicians, families, and personnel; prepare and participate in in‑service training; supervise rehab technician or students and contribute to performance evaluations.
- Organize, develop, implement, and coordinate occupational performance of patient care with other disciplines; coordinate discharge planning via charting, letters, care conferences, and rounds; teach patient/family for home functioning; implement home program.
- Maintain documentation in compliance with Joint Commission and CARF standards; participate in Total Quality Management.
- Perform miscellaneous job‑related duties as requested.

Education
- Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapy program (Required)
- Eligibility for an Arizona Occupational Therapist license (Required)
Experience
- Pediatrics (Preferred)
- Orthopedic, neuro, developmental pediatric experience (Preferred)
- Specialized experience in pediatric occupational therapy (Preferred)
Special Skills
- Pediatric experience (Preferred)
Certification & Licensure
- National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) (Required)
- Arizona Occupational Therapist license (Required)
- Current AZ DPS fingerprint clearance card (Required)
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (Required)
Physical Requirements
- Climbing, reaching, lifting up to 35 lbs, fine motor and sensory tasks, standing, walking, using keyboard/computer, hearing/vision as required.
