Behavioral Health Clinician (Mon–Fri)

Job Summary

The Behavioral Health Clinician (BHC) is a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team in CBI Crisis, Inpatient and Transition Point programs. The BHC coordinates with Patient Care Technicians (PCT), Registered Nurses (RN), and Behavioral Health Medical Providers (BHMP) to ensure a safe environment and high-quality care for individuals served. The BHC completes behavioral health assessments and service plans for all individuals admitted to their assigned program and documents provided services.

The BHC coordinates discharges from CBI programs and engages with family or other significant others as appropriate.

Responsibilities
  • Perform behavioral health assessments and develop service plans for program participants.
  • Coordinate care with PCTs, RNs, and BHMPs to maintain a safe, therapeutic environment.
  • Document services provided and coordinate discharges from programs.
  • Engage with families or significant others to support ongoing care.
Skills/Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a field related to Behavioral Health. Master’s Degree preferred but not required; preference given to Master’s in behavioral health or licensure at the associate level (AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners) as Psychologist, Social Worker, Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Substance Abuse Counselor.
  • 1–3 years of full-time healthcare-related work experience with exposure to behavioral and medical crisis situations is preferred but not required.
