Infrastructure Delivery Installation Technician

AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. The role supports data centers and essential equipment to keep the cloud running.

• Move and implement large enterprise equipment
• Install fiber and copper cabling and patch cables between equipment
• Maintain safety and security standards during cabling and rack installation
• Follow hardware installation procedures and perform break‑fix activities
• Use material handling tools and equipment safely
• Travel within and outside the regional work area; maintain a reliable personal vehicle and driver’s license

• Lift/move up to 40 pounds regularly; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds
• Work in a 24/7 environment; participate in primary responder rotation and after‑hours support
• Work in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments
• Bend, lift, stretch, reach, stand, walk for up to 8+ hours a day
• Ascend/descend ladders, stairs, gangways safely

• High school or equivalent diploma
• 1+ year experience in Computer Hardware Repair, Infrastructure Cabling, Network Deployment, Data Center Operations, or Technical Project Management
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Initiative, judgment, and diplomacy

• Knowledge of network cabling, optics types, and test equipment
• Industry certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+)
• Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies

Location:
