A System Integration Technician II performs system integration, configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems. This position works with engineering and project teams to ensure systems are properly assembled, configured, validated, and deployed according to technical specifications and quality standards.
Duties/ Responsibilities:
- Assemble, install, and configure hardware and software components.
- Integrate subsystems into complete operational systems.
- Perform functional, integration, and acceptance testing.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Document test procedures, results, and system configurations.
- Support system deployment, installation, and commissioning activities.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and customers during integration efforts.
- Maintain inventory of equipment, tools, and test assets.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support during system upgrades and maintenance activities.
- Train junior technicians and assist with technical knowledge transfer.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Proficiency in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware.
- Installation of configuration of VFDs per project requirements.
- Experience with system integration tools and techniques.
- Knowledge of networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, Ethernet I/P, Modbus RP/RTU).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve system issues efficiently.
- Strong analytical skills to identify system deficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Ensure that systems are configured precisely as required.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records of the integration process.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical details to clients and non-technical team members.
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients and cross-functional teams.
- Ability to redline schematics as field install completes.
Education and Experience:
- A degree or technical certifications in system integration or a related field is a plus.
- 3 years minimum experience in system integration, electronics, networking, or a related field is required.
- Experience with hardware installation and cabling.
