We're partnering with a growing manufacturing organization that is looking for an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to take ownership of inventory accuracy, material flow, and warehouse inventory processes. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys improving processes, working cross-functionally, and ensuring production has the materials it needs to operate efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records for raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods.
- Perform cycle counts, investigate inventory discrepancies, and resolve variances.
- Ensure inventory transactions are entered accurately and on time within the company's ERP system.
- Monitor inventory levels and support material replenishment activities.
- Coordinate material movements and inventory transfers as needed.
- Develop and improve inventory control processes and standard operating procedures.
- Analyze inventory performance metrics and recommend process improvements.
- Assist with annual physical inventories and routine inventory audits.
- Partner with Purchasing, Production, Receiving, and Shipping to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on organization, efficiency, and inventory accuracy.
- Prepare inventory reports and provide data to support operational decision-making.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of inventory control, materials management, or warehouse experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of inventory management best practices and inventory accuracy.
- Experience using ERP or MRP systems.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is a plus.
