Position Summary
Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates in the assigned area by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, evaluating performance, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace. The role includes providing recognition, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures regarding selection, recruiting, record retention, and training, as well as applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations. It also involves holding hourly associates accountable by analyzing and interpreting reports, implementing and monitoring asset protection and safety controls, maintaining quality assurance standards, overseeing safety and operational reviews, developing and implementing action plans to correct deficiencies, ensuring confidentiality of information, and providing direction on company programs and strategic initiatives.
Whatyou’ll do
Manages the financial performance of the assigned area by creating budgets for sales, expenses, and wages; monitoring club indexing to ensure budgeted numbers are achieved; and ensuring sales and profit goals are met. Implements plans to correct sales and profit deficiencies, ensures department staffing levels are within company guidelines, and schedules and trains associates to meet member needs. Works as part of the management team to enforce opening and closing procedures, collaborates with opening and closing managers to ensure smooth transition, and discusses merchandising opportunities, scheduling concerns, and associate issues.
Increases and promotes the quality of the member experience and engagement through appropriate service levels, effective merchandise presentation, accurate pricing, proper signage, inventory management, and trained associate service approaches. Ensures membership growth by building relationships with members, making business visits, and scheduling training. Drives sales in the assigned area by merchandising, inventory control, and cleaning, while monitoring expenses. Oversees food safety standards, cold chain compliance, and merchandise quality, and trains associates on food safety policies and procedures.
Coordinates job-related activities, develops stakeholder relationships, supports initiatives, builds accountability, measures progress, and demonstrates adaptability and continuous learning.

• 2 or more years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience with 6 months of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 1 year of SAM’S Club experience; OR 3 years of military experience.
Preferred QualificationsEnvironmental compliance or related field, retail profit and loss statement management experience, supervisory experience, warehouse experience with cold chain compliance.

Additional InformationAnnual salary range: $70,000.00 – $95,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and may include Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) based on location.
