Tenet-AZ Region is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Orthopedic Surgery Lead in Avondale, Arizona.

Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit. Coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Renders individualized, age‑specific, and direct bedside nursing care based on the nursing process and patient needs. Acts as a supervisor by assessing, planning, delegating and utilizing independent judgement in directing other healthcare employees for the provision of patient care. Systematically evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to identify patient goals.
Participates in hourly rounding and observes safety guidelines. May be asked to be in charge for a shift or shifts.
- Assess patient’s physical, psychosocial, spiritual, educational, cultural, safety/risk, and discharge planning needs on admission and ongoing basis.
- Determine nursing diagnoses based upon patient assessment and data analysis.
- Set practical, realistic, and appropriate patient‑population specific outcome goals.
- Individualize the patient’s plan of care based on patient needs and procedural complexities.
- Implement nursing and medical orders and assure they are appropriate to the patient’s current status.
- Other tasks assigned at the hospital.
- Effective interpersonal skills and ability to work with team members.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with occasional periods of above‑average pressure.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited nursing school.
- Licenses &
Certifications:- Registered Nurse license in the State of Arizona.
- CPR.
- ACLS as applicable (ER, ICU, Endoscopy, Tele, Cardiac Cath Lab). L&D: ACLS required upon orientation.
- PALS or ENPC required for ER or must obtain within ninety days.
- NRP required for Post‑partum, Nursery, L&D upon orientation.
- Bariatrics certification or specialized training in bariatrics specialty area of practice.
- Wound‑Ostomy certification or training in wound or ostomy care.

Additional Requirements:- Level II EQ: minimum of two years of current Level III NICU experience including neonatal ventilator.
- L&D:
Advanced Fetal Monitoring or must obtain within six months of hire.
- BSN.
- 1 year of acute care experience (new graduates will be considered).
- Certification in specialty area of practice preferred.
- PACU: ACLS required or must obtain within six months of hire; PALS preferred.
- ACLS.
