We are partnering with a hospital in the Southwest to identify a Director of Perioperative Services. This organization offers one of the most advanced surgical platforms in the region, paired with the reach and resources of a full-service acute care hospital.
The OpportunityReporting to hospital leadership, this Director will oversee a large and technologically advanced perioperative service line:
- 16 operating rooms, with capacity to expand to 20
- A large GI suite as well as several Pain Suites
- 32 PACU beds
- Robust Robotics Program
- Approximately 95 FTEs
The department supports nearly every surgical specialty, from general and colorectal surgery to robotic-assisted urological, gynecological, cardiac, and general procedures. A cardiovascular hybrid suite combines cath lab and cardiac surgery capabilities in one space. A neurological suite offers 3D image-guided navigation for spine and cranial cases.
A Strong Clinical PlatformThis hospital has built a reputation for surgical excellence and holds an "A" safety rating throughout the facility. It carries Joint Commission Gold Star accreditation across multiple perioperative service lines, along with Chest Pain Center, Bariatric, Breast Imaging Center of Excellence, and Primary Stroke Center recognitions.
The surgical program continues to expand alongside a broader network that includes ambulatory surgery centers and a multi-specialty medical group with more than 100 employed providers.

Ideal BackgroundWe are looking for a perioperative leader who brings:
- Current RN license
- Bachelor's degree required;
Master's preferred - 3+ years of leadership experience in perioperative or surgical services within a similar sized OR
- CNOR, CPAN, or equivalent surgical services certification preferred
- A track record of building strong physician and interdisciplinary relationships
