Cardiovascular Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse

Phoenix Children's is managed in Shift Wise Flex and contracts to join that program will be issued once the offer is extended and accepted by the traveler. All compliance, billing, and assignment management will take place in Shift Wise Flex. Please email pch with questions. COVID-19 vaccination is recommended but not required. Flu vaccination will be required October through April. Flu exemption applications must be received and approved by Phoenix Children's prior to starting.

Anyone not vaccinated for either Flu or COVID-19 will be required to sign Declination & Masking Protocol agreements and must mask during the full respiratory virus season Start Date 9/28/26 to 3/27/27. This assignment may float between all Locations:
Main, 1919 East Thomas Road, Phoenix, AZ 85016;
Arrowhead, 19007 N. 67th Avenue, Glendale, AZ 85308;
Avondale, 1665 North Avondale Boulevard, Avondale, AZ 85392;
East Valley, 3370 S Mercy Road, Gilbert, AZ 85297. This assignment will require floating to between NICU and PICU Days and Nights Available 7a – 7p & 7p – 7a Shift will be decided in the interview. Only RTO discussed in the interview will be pre-approved. This position works in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient and family to promote patient health through delivery of professional nursing care appropriate to patients age and condition as documented in the nursing and medical plans of care in accordance with evidence-based nursing and patient care practice standards and hospital goals, values and regulatory standards

Experience:

2 years' experience as an RN in pediatric CVICU. Experience at a hospital with a Level III or IV NICU strongly preferred. Experience floating to NICU and PICU Children's hospital experience preferred.

Education Requirements:

Two-year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four-year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. Certification/License/Registry Requirements:
Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date. Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. Current PALS certification from the American Heart Association. Current NRP Preferred.
