OverviewThe freezer, cooler, and deli stocker role supports store operations and customer service in the Freezer/Cooler/Deli area. You will help maintain product availability, ensure proper handling and sanitation, and assist Members with their needs. This position is designed to start a fulfilling career at Sam’s Club.
Responsibilities- Maintain safety of the facility by following safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including safety sweeps and proper handling of hazardous materials; correct or report unsafe situations to Management.
- Maintain the Sales Floor and merchandise presentation in the Freezer/Cooler/Deli area by handling claims and returns, stocking merchandise, setting up and organizing displays, removing damaged goods, pricing merchandise, and completing required documentation.
- Provide Member service by acknowledging Members, identifying needs, locating merchandise, assisting with purchasing decisions, and resolving issues.
- Follow policies related to the Freezer/Cooler area, including food handling, equipment sanitation, Cold Chain procedures, cleaning, monitoring equipment operation, and reporting issues to Management.
- Ensure high-quality products are available for Members and that shelves are clean and properly maintained.
- Maintain temperature control and verify expiration dates, disposing of lesser-quality products as needed.
- Pack ready-to-sell products in proper containers and stock displays; maintain a clean, sanitized, and member-ready area.
