Overview

Position Summary:

What you’ll do and how you’ll contribute as a Member Frontline Services associate at Sam’s Club. You will provide member service, maintain the checkout area, resolve member issues, promote products and services, and support self-service technology. You will assist with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges in accordance with company policies and procedures for different membership and payment types, and follow safety standards and guidelines.

Responsibilities
  • Provide member service and assist with purchases, payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges according to company policies.
  • Maintain the checkout area and entrances/exits; acknowledge members, verify membership cards, and identify member needs.
  • Assist members with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, and transport items as needed; promote the company’s products and services.
  • Zone areas, arrange and organize merchandise, and maintain a safe shopping environment; follow procedures for handling merchandise and report unsafe situations.
  • Maintain security by observing and reporting potential criminal activity; safeguard Sam’s Club assets and property; maintain necessary documentation and logs; execute emergency response procedures; ensure compliance with safety practices.
  • Assist with training of Member Frontline Services associates on company processes and procedures; teach new technology and tool functionality; deliver rollout training and support continuous learning and process improvement.
  • Ensure area of responsibility complies with policies by handling returns properly, identifying shrink and damages, and maintaining organization.
  • Adhere to policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity by applying related action plans and the Open Door Policy in business processes and practices.
  • Complete work assignments by using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and partners; prioritize tasks, communicate progress, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Support a culture of respect, teamwork, and integrity; contribute to a positive environment, uphold Walmart values, and act with integrity and accountability.

  • Retail experience including operating front-end equipment (e.g., cash register); experience working with mobile retail applications.

  • The hourly wage range for this position is $18.00 to $26.00 per hour. The actual rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location.
  • Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances, potentially based on schedule, facility, season, or work performed.
