RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensuresafetyprotocolsaredeveloped,implemented,and executed,specificallyallreportingandPPE requirements as required by OSHA, company, and project site.
- Complete and maintain daily documentation as required by supervisor, manager, or general contractor.
- Install and configure basic IP cameras, NVRs, and related hardware.
- Perform routine system maintenance and inspections.
- Diagnose and resolve basic hardware and connectivity issues.
- Assist other technicians with system deployments and upgrades.
- Document installation activities, service calls, and maintenance records.
- Escalate complex technical issues to higher-level technicians.
- Provide basic user support and training.
- Responsible for ensuring that all project-required documentation is collected and complete. Including, but not limited to, Termination Schedules, Hardware Schedules, Password Log, etc.
- Track schedule progress and follow up on delays or missing information with the project team.
- Help monitor project costs and material management.
- Assist with change requests and pricing with guidance from the Project Managment
- Attend internal project meetings and communicate action items with the project team.
- Help maintain project quality, schedules, punch list progress, and as-built information.
- Participate in Constructability Reviewswithmembersoftheprojectteam,includingbothfieldpersonnel and engineering.
- Installation and termination of conductors, cables, network systems, control systems, IP Video systems, access control systems, audio systems, and all associated field devices.
- Troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing integrated systems using a variety of test instruments specifically intended for each system, i.e., (OTDR) optical time-domain reflectometer used for fiber optic cable, Cat6 cable certifier used for network systems, multimeter/volt-ohmmeter used for various control systems and voltages.
- Mayberequiredtoworkoutsideofnormalbusinesshours and travelasdictatedbyproject needs.
- Maintainthestandards,culture,andvaluesofCML Security.
- Strictly adhere to all CML safety policies and procedures.
- Otherdutiesas assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Possess or obtain systems certifications, i.e., Bosch, Genetec, Corning, BICSI, etc.
- Possess and maintain OSHA 30 certification and all required equipment operators' certifications, i.e., forklift, scissor lift, aerial lift, etc.
- Ability to interpret and utilize basic schematics, diagrams, and drawings.
- Basic understanding of IP networking concepts.
- Ability to use hand tools and test equipment.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Familiarity with both SEC and DEC preferred.
- Strongskillsin Microsoft Suiteof Software ,Adobeor Bluebeam.
- Previous Procore software usage preferred.
- Valid Driver' License.
- Maintain the ability to clear background checks.
SUPERVISION
This position reports directly to the Project Executive and performs assigned installation, maintenance, documentation, testing, and troubleshooting activities under the direction of project leadership and more experienced technicians. The IPV Technician Level I receives guidance related to project priorities, technical requirements, work quality, safety compliance, customer support, and the proper escalation of complex technical issues. This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & CONDITIONS
- This role works in an office, shop, and active construction job site environment, with frequent interaction with Project Management, Field Operations, Engineering, vendors, subcontractors, clients, and other project stakeholders.
- Job site visits may include exposure to active construction conditions, moving equipment, noise, dust, uneven walking surfaces, ladders, stairs, outdoor weather conditions, secured or detention/correctional environments, and other site-specific conditions.
- Physical demands may include prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking.
- This role is expected to follow all company, client, OSHA, and site-specific safety requirements, including required reporting and the use of required personal protective equipment.
