The Opportunity

As an Electrical Foreman at DP Electric, you lead from the front, working alongside your crew to build commercial electrical installations across the state of Arizona, while owning the people, schedule, safety, and quality on your work. The job takes different shapes depending on the project. On our large mission-critical builds, including data centers, semiconductor and advanced manufacturing facilities, and healthcare, you may run a defined scope with a full crew as part of a larger field team.

On our special projects, you may run an entire job start to finish, mobilizing fast and coordinating directly with the client.

Either way, this is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows the trade, sets the standard on site, and develops the electricians coming up behind them. It rewards technical expertise, sharp problem-solving, and the kind of leadership that keeps installations on schedule, on budget, and built right.

What You'll Do

Lead the Work

• Supervise and work alongside crews to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
• Plan and coordinate daily work activities, assigning tasks and providing clear instructions.
• Monitor project progress, ensuring quality workmanship and addressing issues promptly.

Safety and Code Compliance

• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, regulations, and safety guidelines.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to guide accurate electrical installations.

Coordinate and Communicate

• Collaborate with Project Managers and, depending on project size, Superintendents and General Foremen, to meet project deadlines and budgets.
• Communicate effectively with other trades and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.

Develop the Team

• Mentor and develop electricians and apprentices to enhance technical skills and efficiency.

Manage Resources and Records

• Manage inventory, tools, and equipment, ensuring proper maintenance and availability.
• Maintain project records, including daily reports and work progress logs.

Qualifications

Required

• High school diploma or GED.
• Journeyman-level electrical knowledge and field experience. Arizona does not require an individual state electrician license for this role.
• Eight (8) years of commercial electrical construction experience, including leadership experience.
• OSHA 30 certification.
• Valid driver's license, clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR), and reliable transportation.

Preferred

• Experience running an entire commercial project start to finish, including fast-turn special projects with quick mobilization and direct client coordination.
• Experience leading crews on mid- to large-scale mission-critical builds, such as data centers, semiconductor and advanced manufacturing facilities, or healthcare.
• Experience coordinating with general contractors and other trades on commercial job sites.
• A journeyman or master electrician license from another state, or completion of an accredited or DOL-registered apprenticeship program.

We recognize that experience comes from many paths. An equivalent combination of education, certification, and experience that results in successful performance of the job is welcomed. Additional education may substitute for required experience on a one-for-one year basis, or vice versa.

Work Environment

This is a field-based role performed on active construction sites, both indoors and outdoors, with exposure to weather and jobsite conditions. The role involves lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, crawling, working at heights, and working in confined spaces, and requires wearing personal protective equipment.
