Position Summary:
The Family Support Specialist will work closely with families to provide guidance, resources, and advocacy that promote stability and well-being. This role focuses on strengthening family systems, connecting families to community resources, and supporting them through challenges using trauma-informed approaches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage families in supportive services to address social, emotional, and practical needs.
  • Conduct assessments to identify family strengths and areas of need.
  • Develop and implement individualized family support plans.
  • Provide education and coaching on parenting, communication, and coping strategies.
  • Connect families with community resources, healthcare providers, and social services.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and comply with agency and regulatory standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for families.
  • Advocate for families to access necessary services and overcome barriers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Family Studies, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Experience working with families in social services or behavioral health settings strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of trauma-informed care and community resources.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
