Truck Driver Class B at Ryder System Avondale, AZ

Position Description

Immediate opening for a SOLO Class B CDL Truck Driver in Avondale, AZ.

• Pay: $840 or more per week, plus hourly pay $21 per hour.
• Hours:
  
  40+ hours per week, Monday through Friday, starting at 4:30AM.
• Route:
  Local Home Daily within 250 miles of Phoenix Metro.
• Tractor type:
  Day Cab.
• Trailer type:
  Stake Bed 26'.
• Freight:
  Touch‑Electric Supplies.
• Equipment:
  Moffet & forklift (trained by Ryder).

• Uniform, cell phone and boot allowance.
• Paid personal time off starting Day1, up to 80 hours accrued in first year.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Pass a Ryder drug test, background check, DOT physical, and road test.
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements.
• Class A or B experience: 9 months in past 3 years or 2 years in past 5 years or 5 years in past 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret, and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and procedures.

• Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist in loading/unloading if required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
