Delivery Helper - 2nd Shift

Position Summary

Penske Logistics is looking for delivery helpers that will assist delivery drivers in moving product from the back of a truck to our customer’s location.

$19.87 per hour

Helpers are responsible for delivering product to customers, unloading at each stop typically using a hand truck, moving and rearranging freight, breaking down pallets, and delivering frozen, cold/cooler and ambient product. Helpers must handle moving approx. 300–400 pounds on a hand truck or dolly.

Second shift: starts 12:30 pm, ends 5 pm. Shifts range from 8 to 16 hours, average 10 hours. End time depends on stops. Average 14–16 stops per night. Full‑time, 5 days per week with 2 consecutive days off. Weekends and holidays required.

• Assist CDL drivers with store delivery.
• Lift/move up to 300 lbs with a dolly.
• Interact professionally and courteously with customers.
• Read bills of lading, identify product, and collect delivery receipts.
• Assist driver with navigation.

• Prior customer service experience preferred.
• Prior warehouse or dock experience preferred.
• Prior delivery assistance experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work in temperature zones ranging from –10 to 120 °F.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance essential.
• Must work required schedule, location, and complete employment application, background investigation, and drug screening.

• Must see, understand instructions, and communicate.
• See distance, close, peripheral, depth perception and adjust focus.
• Move frequently, stand, walk, sit, use hands to touch, handle, feel, reach.
• Regularly lift/move up to 50 lbs (23 kg) and occasionally up to 100 lbs (45 kg).
