Pay: $21.50 + $1.00 Shift Differential = $22.50 per hour

Overview

A Group Lead provides support to daily warehouse operations and system processes. The Group Lead plans and coordinates workflow for an assigned area, ensuring proper resource placement and timely shipment processing to meet customer service levels. The role also supports other areas as directed by the DC Supervisor and/or Shift Manager.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure products are shipped accurately and efficiently.
  • Comply with company policies, procedures, safety regulations, and support safety efforts.
  • Maintain employee productivity standards and assist with training, including on‑job and safety training.
  • Generate and maintain reports, input data, and ensure consistent and accurate data entry.
  • Operate a Radio Frequency (RF) unit in combination with the Internal Operating System for daily work.
  • Operate powered lift equipment as required.
  • Communicate with trucking company dispatchers to coordinate pick‑up schedule changes.
  • Check out equipment and return it in the same condition.
  • Meet minimum accuracy and delivery deadline standards.
  • Maintain a safe, neat, and clean work area in accordance with San Mar safety regulations.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred).
  • 4–6 years of experience supporting various warehouse functions.
  • 1–3 years of experience operating powered lift equipment.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus.
  • Detail‑oriented with the ability to follow through on projects and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of the Internal Operating System(s) and Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated leadership by setting a strong example, initiative, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read, write, and correctly interpret colors, sizes, quantities, labels, and SKU information.
  • Comprehension of verbal and written instructions.
  • Capability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a high‑demand, high‑volume environment and meet deadlines.
  • Professional handling of confidential and business matters, including conflict resolution with employees.
  • May be required to complete and maintain San Mar’s Lift Operator Certification.
  • Essential days or overtime may be required.
Working Conditions

Employees are required to stand, walk, talk, and hear throughout the shift. Physical demands include lifting or moving up to 60 pounds and operating powered equipment that requires both hands and full neck, head, and back range of motion. Repetitive hand, wrist, and arm motions, reaching, climbing stairs, kneeling/squatting, and bending may be performed. The role requires close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.

Protective headsets, harnesses, and personal protective equipment are required. Work occurs in a moderately noisy environment with potential exposure to dust, weather conditions, and adjacent conveyor systems. Movement of forklifts, pallet jacks, and mechanized systems is common. Ambient lighting and extreme heat or cold may be encountered.
