Staff Accountant (JN - Ayer, Massachusetts
Salary: USD
60000 - USD
75000 per year
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join a growing construction and service-based organization. This role will support day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, collections, cash applications, payment processing, reconciliations, and reporting. The ideal candidate will bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a willingness to take ownership of responsibilities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Manage AP and AR activities
- Process invoicing, collections, and cash applications
- Assist with month-end accounting and reporting functions
- Monitor cash flow and support payment processing
- Maintain accurate financial records and reconciliations
- Partner with internal teams to improve processes and efficiency
- 3+ years of accounting experience
- Strong invoicing, collections, and general accounting knowledge
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized, dependable, and detail-oriented
- Construction, service industry, or project-based accounting experience is a plus
