Login/Client Support Specialist

This position serves as a support role for the laboratory, ensuring efficient and accurate running of a fast‑paced laboratory. Responsibilities include greeting clients, vendors and visitors, answering general questions, and supporting laboratory operations. Hours are Mon‑Fri 8:30 am‑4:30 pm. Must live a commutable distance to Ayer, MA. This is a full‑time benefit‑eligible position. Compensation is $20 /hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Collect samples from on‑site drop box
• Unpack shipments and document receipt of sample
• Organize and record samples
• Data entry into LIMS (TALS experience a PLUS)
• Maintain the department and lab, including stocking supplies and housekeeping
• Assist with customer services
• Handle interactions with walk‑in clients
• Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Process daily mail and small shipments of bottle kits
• Provide excellent customer service to walk‑in clients
• Perform other duties as assigned

Education/Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent; further education in biological or chemical science preferred
• Experience in a fast‑pace work environment
• Lab experience and exposure to environmental industry preferred

Ability and Skills

• Strong computer, organizational, and problem‑solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self‑motivated, adaptable, and a positive attitude
• Handle moderate stress in a fast‑paced environment
• Detail oriented – data entry
• Ability to prioritize
• Customer service
• Science‑based background preferred
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English
• Perform other duties as assigned
