Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
Why This Role Is Worth a Look
I’m recruiting for a well-established, award-winning high-end residential builder with a strong reputation across Greater Boston. This is a place where quality still wins, systems exist for a reason, and experienced builders are trusted — not second-guessed.
If you’re burned out by chaos, under-resourced projects, or doing everything yourself, this role offers structure, autonomy, and stability
.
Strong pay + real benefits (not lip service):
401(k) with company match
Health, dental, and life insurance
HSA / Flexible Spending Account
Paid time off
Company truck + cell phone reimbursement
Autonomy: Run projects end-to-end with authority and support
Variety: Smaller, complex projects that keep the work interesting
Stability: Established firm, repeat clients, steady pipeline
Craft-first culture: Quality, communication, and accountability matter here
Growth: Mentor others, influence operations, and be a trusted leader — not just a scheduler
You’ll report to the Director of Production and manage multiple small projects and warranty work, acting as the link between the office, field, and client.
Responsibilities include:
- Scheduling, labor coordination, subs, materials, and budgets
- Leading and mentoring a Small Projects Lead Carpenter
- Client communication and expectation management
- Maintaining schedules, costs, and documentation in PM software
- Overseeing quality, safety, and closeouts
- Strong rough + finish carpentry background
- Broad understanding of residential construction and trades
- Working knowledge of Massachusetts building codes
- Confident leader crews respect and clients trust
- Organized, tech-capable, and decisive
- OSHA-10 (or willing to obtain)
