What You’ll Do
  • Lead and develop 3 Warehouse Supervisors, and indirectly a staff of 2 Warehouse Leads, 17 warehouse associates, and 4 production administrators; across three shifts of operations; span of control may evolve as part of the new warehouse design.
  • Own warehouse performance across safety, inventory accuracy, productivity, service, and cost with a bias toward action and results.
  • Establish, track, and actively use a small, effective set of warehouse KPIs to drive daily and weekly accountability.
  • Lead a visible reset of department culture and collaboration by setting clear expectations, reinforcing standard work, and addressing underperformance directly.
  • Coach and develop frontline leaders while making timely people decisions when performance does not improve.
  • Restore and sustain inventory accuracy supporting disciplined cycle counting, through root cause problem‑solving, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide operations‑led input into the design and functionality of the automated warehouse, ensuring solutions are practical and maintainable.
  • Lead implementation, start‑up, and stabilization of warehouse automation, owning readiness, training, and early performance results.
  • Translate automation into clear standard work, staffing models, labor expectations, and training programs.
  • Define and execute a pragmatic people and process roadmap that supports current operations and future growth.
  • Build and sustain simple, repeatable warehouse processes that reduce reliance on heroics.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with EH&S, food safety, and quality requirements.
  • Partner cross‑functionally to surface risks early and protect customer service.
Requirements What You Bring
  • 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in warehouse or distribution center operations.
  • Hands‑on experience implementing or significantly upgrading warehouse automation or WMS capabilities, with direct ownership of outcomes.
  • Strong working knowledge of inventory control, labor productivity, and warehouse standard work.
  • Comfort leading from the floor, not just through reports and dashboards.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cultural change and reset expectations with an hourly workforce.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills paired with practical execution.
  • Clear, direct communication style and the ability to influence across levels.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in food manufacturing, food distribution, or other regulated environments.
  • Experience working in small‑to‑mid‑size organizations or family‑owned businesses.
  • Exposure to automation in environments where systems were imperfect and required hands‑on problem‑solving.
