Job DescriptionSealed Air is growing! We have immediate openings for ELECTRO MECHANICAL FINAL ASSEMBLERS in our Ayer, MA manufacturing facility. We are looking for creative, energetic professionals who will be responsible for electro‑mechanical assembly of our industrial equipment. Sealed Air provides packaging products, machinery, and service agreements to our customers.
Shift &
Schedule:
1st Shift, Monday - Friday, 7:30 am - 4:00 pm.
- Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations
- Experience in mechanical assembly and troubleshooting required; assembly of capital equipment preferred
- Ability to assemble conveyors, equipment, and integrate sub‑assemblies and sub‑components
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and wire run lists
- Responsible for wiring, set up, and adjustment of industrial equipment
- Initiate production startup and validate equipment
- Experience in the proper use of hand tools (e.g. torque wrenches, crimpers, drills)
- Experience, understanding, and knowledge of basic hardware (metric and standard)
- Ability to work with engineering to apply modifications based on customer requests
- Assemble motor controls for PLC
- Knowledge of writing and operating PLCs and HMIs
- Ability to manage time to meet deadlines on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to act on verbal communication when prints are not available
- Ability to follow SOPs
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Minimum of 4 years' experience in electro‑mechanical assembly
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Must have reliable transportation
- Ability to communicate with all levels of co‑workers to assure continuity in production
- Ability to read, write, and speak English is required
- Goal oriented and self‑motivated with a stable employment history
- Familiar with Lean Six Sigma concepts strongly preferred
