Job Summary

Do you enjoy working at the intersection of supply planning, production scheduling, inventory management, stakeholder management and food manufacturing? The Supply Chain Planner & Production Scheduler will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of raw materials, packaging, and production resources to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations. You will translate confirmed production needs into material requirements, maintain weekly and daily production schedules, coordinate ingredient availability, and help minimize downtime, changeover waste, scrap, and supply disruptions.

You will work closely with Purchasing, Production, Logistics, Procurement, and Inventory teams to make sure materials are available on time, inventory levels are accurate, and production schedules can be executed efficiently.

Salary range is $71,449.00–$83,000.00 annually plus 12.5% potential bonus.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Monitor current and upcoming production schedules to calculate raw material and packaging requirements through MRP processes.
  • Create, update, and adjust weekly and daily production schedules based on confirmed internal production orders and manufacturing needs.
  • Coordinate ingredient and packaging availability to ensure materials arrive in line with production runs.
  • Work closely with Purchasing to monitor purchase orders with approved suppliers and support on-time delivery of ingredients.
  • Resolve supply delays or shortages by identifying alternative sources, adjusting quantities or adapting production schedules.
  • Coordinate with Production to sequence manufacturing runs efficiently and reduce changeover time, waste and scrap.
  • Track and maintain accurate inventory levels for raw materials, ingredients and packaging across warehouse and production areas.
  • Review cycle counts and spot checks with the Inventory Analyst to reconcile physical inventory with system records.
  • Set and monitor practical reorder points or min/max levels based on current production schedules.
  • Maintain clean, accurate, and traceable inventory records, including lot numbers, expiry dates and storage conditions for food‑safety compliance.
  • Meet regularly with Production and Logistics to confirm material availability and inventory status.
  • Prepare weekly supply and inventory status reports for upcoming production runs.
  • Work with Procurement and Supply Chain Management on supplier onboarding and contract renewal topics.
  • Escalate critical supply risks, inventory issues, or production schedule disruptions quickly so the team can react effectively.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of supply planning, inventory and scheduling processes.
What You Bring To The Job
  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • 3+ years of supply chain management experience in a manufacturing environment, ideally within food, beverage, nutrition or a similar regulated production setting.
  • Knowledge of Material Requirements Planning, production scheduling, and materials planning principles.
  • Experience managing inventory levels, material availability and production‑related supply requirements.
  • Strong skills in creating, updating, and adjusting weekly or daily production schedules.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially advanced Excel.
  • Experience working with ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and react quickly when production or supplier priorities change.
  • A hands‑on, flexible and practical working style.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, be on‑call when needed and travel if required.
Nice‑to‑Haves
  • Experience in food or beverage manufacturing.
  • Experience with temperature‑sensitive, perishable or regulated ingredients.
  • Experience supporting GMP, Food Safety, ISO, SOP or similar manufacturing standards.
  • Experience with supplier coordination, supplier onboarding or contract renewal processes.
  • Experience working closely with Purchasing, Production, Logistics, Procurement and Inventory teams.
