Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Control Technician to support quality and food safety programs within a food and beverage manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for inspecting raw materials and finished products, performing laboratory testing, monitoring food safety requirements, and ensuring compliance with company, customer, and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities- Perform quality inspections on raw materials, in-process products, packaging, and finished goods
- Conduct routine testing, including pH, temperature, weight, viscosity, moisture, ATP swabs, allergen testing, and other quality checks
- Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) and food safety requirements
- Verify compliance with GMPs, sanitation standards, and employee hygiene practices
- Perform environmental monitoring and allergen verification activities
- Accurately document inspection and test results
- Identify and report quality deviations and assist with corrective actions
- Monitor production lines for label accuracy, coding, fill weights, seals, and packaging quality
- Calibrate laboratory equipment and maintain testing instruments
- Collect and manage retain samples
- Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits
- Promote food safety, quality, and sanitation standards throughout the facility
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree or technical training in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or related field preferred
- Quality Control experience in food or beverage manufacturing preferred
- Knowledge of GMPs, HACCP, food safety regulations, and quality systems
- Ability to perform laboratory testing and use quality inspection equipment
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic computer systems
- Familiarity with SQF, BRC, or other GFSI standards preferred
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
