Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Buckinghamshire
We are delighted to be recruiting an enthusiastic, experienced, and motivated Room Leader to join our early years team, leading our room for children aged 2.5 to 5 years. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate early years professional who is ready to take the next step in their career and make a real impact on children’s learning and development.
As Room Leader, you will be responsible for creating a warm, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child feels safe, valued, and inspired to learn. You will lead by example, supporting and motivating your team to deliver high-quality early years education in line with the EYFS framework. Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills are essential to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the room.
Key responsibilities will include planning and delivering engaging activities based on children’s interests and developmental needs, monitoring progress and maintaining accurate observations and assessments, and building positive relationships with parents and carers. You will also play an important role in mentoring staff, managing routines, and ensuring health, safety, and safeguarding procedures are always followed.
We are looking for someone who:
* Holds a relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above)
* Has previous experience working with children aged 2.5–5 years
* Demonstrates leadership or room-based responsibility experience
* Has a sound understanding of the EYFS, safeguarding, and child development
* Is confident, caring, and committed to high-quality practice
In return, we offer:
* A competitive salary starting at £28,500
* Full-time, stable hours (40 hours per week)
* A supportive and friendly working environment
* Opportunities for professional development and career progression
If you are passionate about early years education and ready to lead a vibrant room where children thrive, we would love to hear from you
