Receptionist, Hospitality ​/ Hotel ​/ Catering

We are looking for a Receptionist to join our team at Brig o' Doon Hotel, with both part-time and full-time positions available. Part-time roles will be based on 3 days per week, with full-time roles based on 4 days per week. As the first point of contact for guests arriving at the hotel, you will play an important role in creating a warm and welcoming first impression.

Your responsibilities will include checking guests in and out, using our booking system effectively, up-selling and responding to guest enquiries both face to face and over the phone.

Known for its beautiful surroundings and welcoming atmosphere, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional guest experiences through our dedicated team and commitment to high standards.

• Greeting and assisting guests at reception, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere.
• Answering calls and responding to enquiries from prospective customers and guests, taking messages where required.
• Managing the hotel booking system, including checking guests in and out and processing payments.
• Assisting guests with requests and providing excellent customer service throughout their stay.
• Working closely with other departments and management to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and a seamless guest experience.
• Maintaining a professional and organised reception area at all times.

• Previous customer service or reception experience would be beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Friendly, professional and well-presented.
• Strong IT and organisational skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and as part of a team.
• A positive attitude with a proactive approach to customer service.
• Full UK driving licence preferred.
