Fire & Flood Restoration Technician Cambridge & East Anglia Experienced Restoration Technician required to join a growing Service Master Restore operation covering Cambridgeshire and the wider East Anglia region. Hours This is a full-time role working 40 hours per week, with occasional evening, weekend and on-call work. Paid overtime is regularly available. Location This is a home-based, field-based role covering Cambridge and the wider East Anglia region, Ideal for candidates with experience in fire restoration, flood restoration, water damage mitigation, insurance restoration, property restoration, specialist cleaning, drying and decontamination works.

Our Service Master Restore centre specialises in providing cleaning solutions to our customers from Disaster Restoration (after fire, flood or other emergency) to Carpet, Upholstery, Rug and floor cleaning services . BDMA qualifications are desirable but not mandatory. Company vehicle, training and overtime available. You will carry out a mixture of planned and emergency restoration, mitigation and specialist cleaning work across commercial and residential properties.

You'll support homeowners and businesses during some of the most challenging situations they face, helping them recover from fire, flood and accidental damage. You will be responsible for:
Working independently and managing your daily workload Responding promptly and efficiently to emergency call-outs and non-emergency work. Supporting customers who have experienced unexpected property damage and keeping them informed throughout the restoration process. Preparing and submitting accurate reports, quotations and photographs. Arranging and completing follow-up visits as required. What skills and experience will you need? Practical, live-site experience in fire, flood or water-damage restoration Experience using dehumidifiers, air movers and moisture measuring equipment.

Awareness of safe strip-outs and containment procedures Full manual driving licence and willingness to travel Strong customer-service and communication skills The ability to produce accurate job records and documentation An honest, reliable and hard working approach, with a flexible positive attitude. The ability to work independently and treat customers with empathy The ability to undertake the physical tasks associated with the role, with appropriate equipment and reasonable adjustments where applicable.

Desirable, but not mandatory: BDMA Technician / Senior Technician qualification IICRC WRT, FSRT or related certification Moisture mapping, insurer-system or floorplan experience Asbestos, PAT, COSHH or comparable site training Working conditions The post is field based The post requires a current, clean, driving licence Occasional overnight stays may be required Occasional out of hours work required Occasionally be on call as part of a Rota Regular travel occasionally requiring travel for long periods of time Any offer of employment will be subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks appropriate to the role, which includes a DBS check and credit check.
