The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced
Field Service Engineer
to join our Service team, covering Ayrshire, Dumfries Galloway, Glasgow and the surrounding areas.

Reporting to our Hamilton Depot, you'll service, maintain and repair construction equipment at customer sites, ensuring machines remain safe, reliable and operating at peak performance. You'll manage your own workload while being supported by our experienced Service, Parts and Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend machine breakdowns and carry out repairs to minimise downtime.
  • Complete planned servicing and preventative maintenance.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
  • Deliver high standards of workmanship and customer service.
  • Complete service reports and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Maintain a safe, clean and professional working environment.
  • Undertake other duties appropriate to the role as required.
What We're Looking For
  • NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
  • Experience working on heavy plant or construction equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of engines, hydraulics, transmissions and auto-electrics.
  • Excellent fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
  • Good communication and IT skills.
