Position is full time onsite - no remote work
The Production Scheduler supports the daily and weekly scheduling activities for our manufacturing operations, ensuring that customer orders are executed on time and production resources are properly allocated. This role is focused on coordinating work orders, maintaining schedule accuracy within the ERP system, and communicating schedule changes with key internal departments.
This position works closely with Production, Procurement, and Quality to keep materials, equipment, and workflow aligned with daily production needs.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Create, update, and maintain daily/weekly production schedules based on customer orders and material availability.
- Release work orders and monitor their progress to completion.
- Coordinate with Procurement and Production to ensure materials and tooling are available for scheduled jobs.
- Update the ERP system with schedule changes, material status, and completion data.
- Communicate schedule updates to supervisors and department leads.
- Prepare travelers and job packets as needed.
- Assist with capacity planning by identifying potential bottlenecks and escalating issues early.
- Generate basic daily reports (work order status, completions, shortages).
- Support improvement activities related to scheduling accuracy and workflow efficiency.
- Serve as scheduling backup when needed.
- 2+ years of experience in production scheduling or manufacturing operations.
- Experience using an ERP or MRP system in a production environment.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage time in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, fabrication, or similar).

- Experience in metals, machining, forging, or similar heavy manufacturing.
- Familiarity with OEE or production reporting metrics.
- Power BI or reporting/analytics exposure.
- Associate degree or relevant technical coursework.
- Frequent walking and standing on the production floor.
