Job Summary
The Material Handler participates with a positive attitude while working with fellow team members to ensure plant orderliness, cleanliness and safety.
Job Responsibilities
- Listen and follow the direction of the plant supervisors
- Work along side team leads to have up to date information of jobs needing prepared
- Follow work order instructions carefully as to proper part numbers, quantities and percentages required in bill of materials for each job
- Off load material arriving from vendors
- Ensure materials are available and ready, to reduce start up time
- Ensure yard is organized and free of obstructions
- Verify material type, thickness, and size
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Good reading and writing skills essential
- Good communication skills essential
- Good mathematical skills essential
- Previous forklift experience essential
- Ability to read a tape measure, calipers a plus
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
Compensation
The hourly pay rate is $21/hr
