Logistics Manager

Havelock One Interiors is looking for Associate Manager – Logistics to join us in Bahrain.

Since 1998,Havelock One Interiors has established itself as a leading turnkey fit-outservice provider in the Middle East. We specialize in interior contracting andthe manufacturing of bespoke joinery, metal works and sophisticatedshop-fittings.

Establishedover 25 years ago, Bahrain is our operational hub where our specialist joinery and metal-work manufacturing teams as well as most of the back-office functionsare based. Our turnkey fit-out contracting arms are operating in Bahrain, UAE,Qatar, Kuwait and KSA.

This position is responsible for the overall management, organization, storage, and distribution of finished goods, coordinating inbound shipments, ensuring smooth workflow of operations across packing, finished goods storage, transportation,and customer service teams.

• Strategicallyplanning and managing the logistics department. (Including packing, finished goods storage, transportation and customer services)
• Directing,optimizing and coordinating over inbound and outbound shipments, as well as monitoring to ensure minimal disruptions
• Supervising,coaching and daily performance monitoring of logistics workforce
• Resolvingproblems or complaints concerning transportation, logistics of imports/exportgoods.
• Analyzingthe levels of finished goods, as well as the arrangement of finished goodswithin the warehouse ready to be sent to client site – in order to ensure peakefficiency – on a weekly basis
• Reviewing and coordinating finished goods storage arrangements to ensure finished goodsare stored appropriately (Particularly any sensitive materials/finishes)
• Flaggingpromptly and proactively any potential supply issues and share solutions
• Managinggood relationships with Freight Forwarders, Clearing agents ,Project Manager sand Store Managers at client’s yard, customs (if required)
• Personallyreviewing and effectively establishing a thorough and well-documented sign-offprocess. To ensure no degradation in quality and quantity of finished goodsinto and out of the warehouse
• Responsible for submitting weekly, monthly and yearly reports as required by Management ona regular and prompt basis and daily tracker with 15 days look-ahead action plan
• Ensuring all finished goods are appropriately catalogued and their distribution isplanned effectively
• Regularlyreviewing freight Forwarder costs and working with procurement to ensure valuefor money and efficient and reliable delivery of finished items
• Analysingall aspects of corporate logistics to determine the most cost-effective and efficient means of transporting products or supplies
• Meetingcost, productivity, accuracy and timeliness targets
• Maintainingquality metrics and analysing data to assess performance and implement improvements with proper evaluation of freight forwarders efficiency
• Complying with laws, regulations and ISO requirements
• Collaborating with other departments to integrate logistics with business systems orprocesses

• Hasa minimum of 10
  -15 years similar functional experience with majority of your experience in an interior fit-out contracting company or Group of companies
• Proven working experience as a Logistics Manager.
• Bachelor sin business administration, Logistics or Supply Chain
• Experience in freight negotiation with freight forwarders for imports and exports
• Expert knowledge in Export Documentation
• Wellversed in Import and Export Clearance, Custom Duty Refund claims process
• Demonstrableability to lead and manage staff
• Proficient in standard logistics software – ERP systems
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills
• Abilityto work independently and handle multiple projects
• Ableto communicate well with all levels within the organization
• Sets,maintains and demonstrates high standards of work ethics and behavior
