We are thrilled to announce a major contract win with Yorkshire Water, supporting them in proactively and reactively maintaining their wastewater network for the next five years and beyond. We are currently recruiting for a Frame & Covers / Ironworks Operative to join our team in Yorkshire. You will be working in a team of highly skilled operatives to carry out the replacement of manhole frames and covers efficiently throughout the Bradford area.

The Role
  • Location:

    Bradford, Yorkshire
  • Hours:

    50 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 7am‑5pm with a paid lunch). Overtime available at time and a half.
  • Salary:

Responsibilities
  • Replace manhole frames and covers efficiently; excavate by hand, replace gullies with precision and care, and complete all types of reinstatements (paving, tarmac, concrete, etc.).
  • Carry out site‑specific risk assessments and discuss any changes or amendments with team members and site supervisors.
  • Ensure on‑ and off‑sites are live to avoid penalties with highway permits.
  • Update and complete site documentation using an electronic tablet.
  • Operate machinery and tools safely and efficiently to assist with various tasks.
  • Record photographic evidence of jobs performed and completed.
  • Maintain equipment and tools to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Wear and maintain personal protective equipment.
  • Ensure highway compliance with reinstatement to avoid defects.
  • Be able to read and understand drainage plans.

Experience And Qualifications
  • Full UK driving licence (Required)
  • Training: NPORS, Banksman, Manual Handling, Emergency First Aid, NRSWA, EUSR National Water Hygiene, Asbestos Awareness, Slinger and Signaller, Abrasive Wheels, Calm Water, EUSR Safe Dig – Cat & Genny, EUSR Water, Face Fit Tested – FFP
