Decatur County Schools seeks a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as an Assistant Principal. The Assistant Principal will work closely with the Principal and the administrative team to support the overall management and operation of the school. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, effective communication, a commitment to academic excellence, and a passion for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum Master's Degree with Leadership Certification (Tier I)
Hold or eligible to hold a professional certificate issued by the Georgia Professional Standards Commission in Tier I Leadership
Passing GACE requirements
Must be Professionally qualified under the Every Student Succeeds Act.
Previous leadership experience is preferred but not required for entry-level positions
Knowledge of curriculum standards and instructional methods
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills
Ability to effectively lead and collaborate with faculty, staff, students, parents, and community stakeholders
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of school operations
