We are looking for an experienced Inspector to join a heavy fabrication and manufacturing facility in Bainbridge, GA.

This role would suit someone with a background in fabricated weldments, dimensional inspection, heavy steel fabrication, machining, or industrial manufacturing. You will be responsible for ensuring parts, materials, components, and assemblies meet contract specifications and required quality standards.

This is a hands‑on inspection role working closely with production, quality, and plant operations.

• Inspecting machined and fabricated weldments to ensure they meet contract specifications.
• Verifying vendor‑supplied parts and materials against plans and specifications.
• Supporting production by completing inspection activity at required hold points.
• Reading blueprints and engineering specifications to understand material, dimensional, and inspection requirements.
• Measuring dimensions such as length, height, diameter, distance, angles, arcs, and radii using precision instruments.
• Preparing inspection reports, welding logs, and dimensional inspection reports.
• Inspecting first‑run, in‑process, and final fabricated parts and assemblies.
• Testing equipment to ensure accuracy.
• Maintaining calibration records for welding machines and inspection gauges.
• Maintaining welder continuity logs.

• Experience inspecting fabricated weldments.
• Background in heavy construction machining, heavy steel fabrication, or a related industrial environment.
• Ability to read blueprints, engineering documents, and technical manuals.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
• NDT experience would be a plus, but is not essential.
• Experience using portable measuring equipment such as FARO, Creaform, Keyence scanners, or trackers would be highly advantageous.

This is a permanent role offering long‑term stability with a respected heavy fabrication business. The position is based at Plant 3 in Bainbridge, GA and reports into the Quality Control Manager, with day‑to‑day operational coordination from the Plant Manager.
