NDT Technician

Schedule: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am-5:30pm, with overtime available

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Level II UT Technician / NDT Inspector to join a well-established heavy fabrication and machining business based in Bainbridge, Georgia
.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity suited to someone with strong Ultrasonic Testing experience
, ideally with 900 documented UT hours
, and a background in weld inspection, heavy fabrication, structural steel, machined components or industrial quality inspection.

The company is looking for someone who can support inspection activity across fabricated weldments and machined products, ensuring work meets drawings, specifications, weld procedures and required quality standards.

• Carry out Ultrasonic Testing inspection activity on fabricated and welded components
• Inspect fabricated weldments, machined components and heavy steel assemblies
• Complete visual inspections and support wider NDT inspection activity
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Record inspection results accurately and complete quality documentation
• Support first-run, in-process and final inspection activity
• Work closely with production, welding, machining and quality teams
• Identify non-conforming work and support corrective action where required
• Maintain accurate inspection records in line with company and customer requirements

• Level II UT certification or strong documented UT experience
• 900 documented UT hours preferred
• Experience with in NDT, NDE, weld inspection or fabrication inspection
• Background in heavy fabrication, structural steel, machining, manufacturing, construction or industrial environments
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings and weld symbols
• Strong documentation and reporting skills
• MT / PT experience would be beneficial
• AWS CWI certification would be a strong advantage, but is not essential if you have strong UT experience
• Good attention to detail and the ability to work in a shop-based production environment

The position pays $30-$45 per hour
, depending on UT experience, documented hours, NDT certifications, fabrication background and wider inspection experience.
