• Supervises and participates in day‑to‑day operations of the Family Store and warehouse, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
• Assists the Family Store Manager in supervising operations, training employees, and monitoring work for accuracy and compliance.
• Supervises cashier activities, treats customers politely, assists with ringing‑up, recording sales, resolving problems, ensures security and accountability of cashier funds, and prepares daily sales reports and bank deposits.
• Assists customers in locating items and prices, assists with donations, explains store policy, and ensures compliance.
• Supervises and maintains store displays, arranges, rotates, and re‑stocks displayed items to keep them neat, orderly, and attractive.
• Determines appropriate prices for merchandise to ensure quick turnover and fair pricing; reduces prices for slow‑moving items when necessary.

Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Ability to perform frequent walking and/or standing, kneeling, or squatting relieved by lesser periods of sitting or operating a vehicle. Work is performed in a normal store environment where there is little or no physical discomfort associated with changes in weather or noise, dust, dirt, and the like.

Work is performed in a warehouse environment with similar conditions.

• High school diploma or GED.
• One (1) year working in a retail store, preferably a Salvation Army store, with some experience supervising co‑workers, OR any equivalent combination of training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
