Requirements- A valid and current Oregon Administrator's License.
- Master's Degree or equivalent training.
- A minimum of five years of successful teaching experience resulting in acquired skills in planning, organizing, and controlling a major area of responsibility.
- Knowledge of teaching and supervisory principles/techniques, District and building policies, procedures and practice.
- Skill in organizing the building instructional process.
- Ability to apply effective principles of supervision and teaching to direct and motivate students and staff of the building.
Baker School District is currently seeking a candidate for an Elementary Vice Principal or a Dean of Students.
This 205-day position is a 1.0 FTE as an Elementary Vice Principal or a 175-day position as a Dean of Students - TOSA.
Start date:
July 1, 2026.
- Support the building principal in providing leadership at the school site by providing curriculum and instruction leadership, maintaining overall school site operations; receiving, distributing and communicating information to enforce school, District and State policies; maintaining safety of school environment; coordinating site activities; communicating information to staff; and addressing situations, problems and/or conflicts that could negatively impact the school.
- Functions include establishing a climate conducive to learning, planning and coordinating programs, effecting change, and decision making.
- Assists building principal in evaluating classified and licensed employees, maintaining staff accountability according to best practices and district policy.
- The Dean of Students - TOSA collaborates with the administrative team for the overall leadership at the school.
- Assists the principal in leading and promoting the educational vision of the building and the talent development of building staff.
- Supports students in developing positive and effective social behaviors, supports teachers in managing classroom processes and creating effective management, and supports parents in communicating their needs and resolving concerns.
- Reports to the building principal and does not supervise employees.
- Master's degree in Education.
- Knowledge of the principles and practices of effective supervision and personnel management.
- Supervisory experience which demonstrates possession of the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the position.
$47,053.00 to $ per year depending on experience and qualifications.
