WhatYou’ll Do
The Business Office Director coordinates and manages all Business Office functions, payroll, workers’ compensation, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and customer service. The position collaborates with the Compass Senior Living accounting office and assists the Administrator as needed.
As a Business Office Director, you can expect a range of responsibilities and tasks. Here are some general expectations:
- You will accept and deposit resident payments and routinely review the resident roster for accuracy.
- You will develop and implement collection plans to collect revenue.
- You will process new hire paperwork, including background checks, payroll increases, and evaluations.
- You will receive, code, and prepare invoices for payment.
You will process payroll.
- You will bring a working knowledge of computers, including Excel, Word, and MS Office.
- You must be self-directed and goal oriented.
- You will bring a desire and willingness to learn new systems.
- You will bring two years of bookkeeping experience, including, but not limited to, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll functions.
- You will have a two-year degree in Business or Accounting or applicable experience.
- You will be detail-oriented and possess effective verbal/written communication skills, solid mathematical skills, and strong organizational skills.
- You will be able to perform duties and responsibilities (Essential Job Functions) with or without reasonable accommodation.
- You will have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly.
You will have the ability to pass a criminal background check. - You will bring good verbal communication and the ability to read, write, and speak English with residents and coworkers who only speak English.
