- In this job profile, we offer candidates new to OJD up to the third step of the salary range, depending on experience. You are potentially eligible for a 5% annual increase.
Position Highlights
The Baker County Circuit Court in Baker City, Oregon, is hiring a Records Clerk (Court Operations Associate).
In this role, you will help our court make a good first impression by greeting visitors and providing customer service at the counter, over the phone, and in writing. You will route phone calls, answer questions, and provide information about the court calendar and the status of cases. You will explain court policies and procedures to the public, litigants, and attorneys.
For civil, criminal, domestic relations, and probate cases, you will perform data entry, prepare certified copies, scan documents, upload files into the case management system, and review documents for accuracy and completeness. You will also process court records requests and research archived records.
As a cashier, you will process payments for filings, fees, fines, and bail. You will accept and receipt payments made over the phone and through mail, including personal checks and money orders. You will also open, manage, and balance an electronic payment till each day.
You will spend part of your time helping attorneys and self-represented litigants file exhibits in PDF, audio, video, and physical formats for in-person and remote appearances. You will also help process the mail and provide backup coverage in the courtroom as needed.
Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.
