Salary: $55,837 to $69,836 based on the current BTI Exempt Employee Salary Schedule; salary prorated based on start date.

Job SummaryPerforms the necessary tasks required in the coordination of programs at Baker Technical Institute, applying independent judgment and maintaining harmonious working relationships with employees, students, and strategic partners.
Responsibilities- Comply with BTI, Baker School District 5J, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations.
- General support functions for all BTI programs, including student registrations, enrollment, and coaching.
- Create customer invoices and maintain vendor relationships.
- Perform administrative duties in a professional and organized manner.
- Conduct client acquisition work, tours, speaking engagements, and presentations.
- Draft and maintain grant and contract compliance.
- Assist with marketing and merchandising materials; use social media platforms for communication.
- Coordinate with instructors, board members, staff, and stakeholders to achieve brand goals.
- Support event marketing and setup.
- Lead or assist in coordinating BTI programs (heavy equipment, welding, construction, apprenticeships, healthcare, safety training, truck driving).
- Secure future training opportunities and execute planned trainings.
- Manage contracts with customers and act as the lead relationship manager for the Oregon Department of Human Services.
- Assist with class registration, logistics, and overall program support.
- Coordinate meetings with staff and stakeholders.
- Assist staff with purchases, travel, and related needs.
- Participate in district trainings, staff meetings, and committees as required.
- Report safety, sanitary, and fire hazards immediately to the supervisor.
- Maintain confidentiality in all areas.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as required.
- High School Diploma, GED or higher. Valid Oregon Driver License required.
- Prior administrative, project management, and marketing experience strongly preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills; works well with diverse backgrounds; resolves conflict and maintains confidentiality.
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
- Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Reasoning ability to apply common sense in written, verbal, or diagrammatic instructions.
- Proficiency with database software, internet, email, MS Word, Excel, Google Mail, Google Docs; ability to learn graphic design software.
- Knowledge of business English, general office procedures, and office equipment.
- Understanding of policies, laws, rules, and regulations applicable to the District.
- Annual completion of Vector online training and relevant Department of Human Services and Department of Corrections training.
Regularly required to talk, hear, walk, sit, use hands for fine manipulation, lift up to 25 pounds (occasionally up to 50 pounds). Must be able to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, and occasionally climb stairs or ladders. Requires close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work EnvironmentLocated at Baker Technical Institute; includes travel to support programs, present programs, and attend meetings. Occasionally work beyond a normal 40‑hour week. May work in corrections facilities; exposure to blood borne pathogens possible. Noise level usually low to moderate.
