As a member of our trade marketing team, the Business Development Manager will build relationships within the new home construction community and develop business leads for Blinds To Go. Focused on new home developments, and working directly with our marketing team on targeting, you will develop strategic relationships with builders, contractors, architects, designers, and sales agents to secure new business.

The ideal candidate must be able to build and maintain strategic relationships, offer creative solutions to clients, and generate leads. You should be agile, disciplined, hands‑on, self‑motivated, and able to work with a high level of autonomy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with marketing to identify opportunities in target markets and establish Blinds To Go as the preferred vendor for development/new home owners
  • Focus on new homes/condo developments and existing high‑end condos:
    • New developments: Identify and engage with key decision makers (builders, contractors, architects, designers, real estate agents) to establish BTG as preferred vendors
    • High‑end condos: Develop relationships with property managers, concierge, and sales agents to market directly to homeowners
  • Create and propose preferred marketing arrangements that channel leads to our sales team
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales to implement programs and track results
  • Network and build awareness of the BTG Trade Program through trade shows and industry events
  • Communicate trade needs to marketing, merchandising, product development and sales teams
Key Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, marketing or B2B sales in a related industry
  • In‑depth knowledge of interior design, architecture, real estate, and construction industries
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to network and build relationships
  • Excellent critical thinking skills to assess client needs and propose effective solutions
  • Strong planning and organizational abilities
  • Self‑motivated with ability to work independently
Training & Development

We will set up the new hire for success with 3-4 months working in our showrooms to understand our business model and develop key internal relationships.
