The General Accounting Supervisor will oversee a wide range of complex accounting duties that include multilevel consolidations, intercompany eliminations, review and translate financial statements from IFRS to GAAP, publish monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in accordance to GAAP, fixed asset leasing, manage interim and year-end audits, meet monthly and year-end closing deadlines, and review, recommend, and implement work/process improvements that will enhance and support the Company’s internal control policies.

Position Summary

The General Accounting Supervisor will oversee a wide range of complex accounting duties that include multilevel consolidations, intercompany eliminations, review and translate financial statements from IFRS to GAAP, publish monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in accordance to GAAP, fixed asset leasing, manage interim and year-end audits, meet monthly and year-end closing deadlines, and review, recommend, and implement work/process improvements that will enhance and support the Company’s internal control policies.

• Manage a timely and accurate General Ledger closing process.
• Ensure prompt and accurate reconciliation of Balance Sheet accounts.
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards.
• Oversee and review the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements.
• Coordinate and manage annual audit of financial statements.
• Supports annual audit by providing information and answers to auditors.
• Interact with other departments as well as factory management to ensure timely communication and resolution of all accounting related issues.
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company’s financial reporting requirements and general ledger structure.
• Supervises staff accountants and clerical staff to ensure that the department accomplishes accounting objectives.
• Facilitate staff development and professional growth.
• Utilize Microsoft Dynamics F&O for financial operations and reporting.
• Provide strategic financial insights to senior management by researching and analyzing accounting data.
• Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and any other furthering educational courses applicable to the role or profession.
• Prepare asset, liability, and capital account entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration
• 7+ years of General Accounting experience
• Financial statement preparation
• Financial statement consolidations and intercompany eliminations
• Microsoft Dynamics F&O
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills
• Manufacturing accounting knowledge
• Proactive problem solver
• Excellent communication skills
• Proficient in MS Access, Excel, and BI Reporting
• GAAP and IFRS required
• Proficient with external auditors
• Supervision and team leadership skills
• Proficiency with audits
• Research skills

• Time management and ability to prioritize tasks to meet multiple deadlines
• Excellent communication skills

• Bilingual (Spanish)
