Overview

Training will be provided but basic understanding of accounting concepts is required.
Job Duties:
Responsibilities- Work with monthly clients to record their business transactions in Quickbooks
- Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on a monthly basis
- Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate, complete, and up-to-date manner
- Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function including reviewing, coding, and processing payments, as well as help cut checks
- Take vendor phone calls on when checks went out and current vendor balances
- Perform account receivable functions including invoicing and deposits
- Review financial reports monthly
- Recording Journal Entries: sales tax, payroll, depreciation, third party app fees, adjusting end of year
- Recording Journal Entries: sale of assets, establishing assets, and construction close out flips
- Perform quarterly and annual payroll returns
- Perform workers compensations audits
- Perform company formations and maintain company formations
- Perform quarterly and annual sales tax returns
- Perform cost segregation journal entries as well as closing statement journal entries
- Maintain assets and liabilities on the balance sheet
- Use knowledge of local laws to comply with reporting requirements
- Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
- Understanding of the different business entity structures and what they can write off and not write off
- Assist with internal administration work
- Degree in Business/Finance, Accounting, or Economics OR obtaining a degree in one of the three OR if no degree 3 years plus in a full charge bookkeeping roll.
- Basic accounting knowledge
- Knowledge of GAAP or another accounting framework
- High attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Produce work with a high level of accuracy
- Professionalism and organization skills
- Knowledge of Quickbooks online

Pay is based on performance and experience $20 to $28 an hour. Upon excellent work performance and or receiving certifications and improved performance you will receive wage increases.
