Accounting Specialist

Job Summary

A local privately held company in the telecommunications services industry is seeking an experienced Accounting Specialist to join its Bakersfield, CA team. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a dependable accounting professional with strong Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, payroll, reconciliation, Quick Books, and Excel experience.

The Accounting Specialist will support daily financial operations, maintain accurate accounting records, and assist with monthly financial reporting.

This role offers a stable Monday through Friday schedule, no overtime expected, and the opportunity to grow into higher-level financial management responsibilities over time.

Key Responsibilities

- Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Manage full-cycle payroll, including related records, updates, and payroll accuracy.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations.
- Maintain the general ledger using Quick Books and Mastermind software.
- Assist with preparation of monthly financial statements, reports, and accounting schedules.
- Support daily accounting operations while identifying opportunities to improve accuracy, organization, and reporting.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary: $52,000 to $62,000 per year.
- Job Type: Direct hire.

- Schedule:

Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Overtime:
No overtime expected.

Bakersfield, CA / Kern County.
