A well-established, privately held organization in Bakersfield is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its growing team. This is a highly visible leadership role within a stable, long-standing company that continues to expand its regional presence and invest in operational excellence.

In this role, you’ll oversee day-to-day accounting operations and lead the month-end close process while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting. You’ll also supervise a small accounting team and serve as a key financial partner to operations leadership, helping drive informed decision-making across the business.

• Lead daily accounting operations and oversee the month-end close process
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements and supporting schedules
• Maintain integrity of the general ledger, reconciliations, and reporting accuracy
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting team members
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis efforts
• Partner with leadership to deliver financial insights and operational recommendations
• Strengthen internal controls and ensure compliance with accounting standards

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Prior supervisory or team lead experience
• Strong technical foundation in general ledger accounting and financial reporting
